For a couple of former BCHL goalies now rivals in the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA), the 2017-18 season is shaping up to be a good one and the honours keep rolling in.
Last week, Powell River Kings grad Brian Wilson of Niagara University was named not only the AHA rookie of the week but also the conference’s rookie of the month. Wilson’s work in the crease for the Purple Eagles earned him the starter’s job and he’s been credited with seven of the team’s nine wins on the season.

Also, Wilson took the rookie of the week award last week and another BCHL grad, Chilliwack Chiefs product Aidan Pelino, took the goalie of the week award after posting wins over then-nationally ranked UMass-Lowell and also against conference foe AIC.
