Zorn commits to Concordia

The route to get there was a bit different, but Zach Zorn’s commitment to Concordia University in Montreal will see him meet up with a former BCHL teammate.

Zorn has inked with the USports program in Montreal for next season and when he arrives at Concordia, his former Merritt Centennials teammate Colin Grannary will be there too. Grannary is transferring to the school after two seasons at NCAA University of Nebraska-Omaha.

For Zorn, a three-season Cents veteran, this past campaign was his most productive as he amassed 20 goals and 22 assists in 57 games. The native of Yellowknife, N.W.T. totaled 33 goals and 38 assists in 156 games to go along with 120 penalty minutes in his BCHL career.

At Concordia, Zorn will join a Stingers program that competes in USports’ OUA East Division along with Carelton, UQTR, Ottawa, Nipissing, RMC, McGill, Queen’s, UOIT and Laurentian. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound forward is the only BCHL player from this past season to commit to Concordia and the Stingers did not feature any BCHL alums on their roster this past season.
