LeClerc inks with Laurier

JLeClercHaving not missed a game in the last two seasons with the Powell River Kings, Jeremy LeClerc is hoping his durability will be a bonus as he takes his game to the Canadian university level.

The defenceman will compete for the Golden Hawks of Wilfrid Laurier University in the coming season.

LeClerc played three seasons with the Kings and posted career highs this past campaign with 8-21-29 in 58 contests. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound blueliner wound up his BCHL career with 18 goals and 51 assists for 69 points in 171 games.

At Laurier, LeClerc will join former Kings forward Jarryd Leung as well as former Prince George Spruce Kings forward Patrick Chore.

Laurier competes in Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s (CIS) OUA West division. Conference games see them compete against schools including Waterloo, Ryerson, York, Lakehead, Guelph, Brock, Western Ontario and Toronto.
