The BCHL has announced three players added to the Top Prospects Game on Friday night, plus one to the All-Star Tournament and Skills Competition on Saturday.
West Kelowna Warriors forward Sam LeDrew has been added to the roster for the BCHL Top Prospects Game, replacing Coquitlam Express forward Jack Bakker who is out with an injury. LeDrew leads the Warriors with 14 goals in 31 games this year and is the team’s second leading point-getter with 30 on the season.
Brooks Bandits defenceman Keith McInnis will suit up for Team Interior in place of Penticton Vees blueliner Nolan Stevenson who is unable to play due to injury. McInnis has six goals, 12 assists and 18 points this season. The 2006-born defender was listed by NHL Central Scouting ahead of last year’s draft.
Bandits blueliner Nate Yellowaga also gets the call as an injury replacement, taking the Team Coastal spot of former Langley Rivermen defenceman Gabriel Guilbault. The 16-year-old Yellowaga has seven assists in 30 games this year.
Due to an injury to Penticton Vees forward Conyr Hellyer, his teammate Ryden Evers will replace him in the 3-on-3 All-Star Tournament and Skills Competition on Saturday. In his third BCHL season, but first in Penticton, Evers is the team’s leading scorer with 37 points in 34 contests.
