Nanaimo Clippers forward Josh Bourne has been named the FortisBC Player of the Month for February.

Bourne led all scorers in the month with 10 goals and 19 points in 10 games.

The Richmond, B.C. native finished the regular season with 11 points in the final eight games to lead the Clippers to first place in the Island Division, but where he really took off was the first two games of the playoffs where he racked up three goals and five assists for eight points.

In the month of February, Bourne contributed multi-point efforts five different times, including four different occasions were he had three points or more. The highlight of his month came on Feb. 29 when he had five points in the Clippers Game 2 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

This week, Bourne was also named BCHL Player of the Week for the first time.
