Ginnetti is second Riv D-man to ink with Clarkson

When Cameron Ginnetti heads off to play college hockey, he will be familiar with at least one of his blueline cohorts.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Langley Rivermen defenceman has committed to NCAA Div. I Clarkson University, the same destination for Rivermen captain Jordan Schneider.

Ginnetti, a 1998-born BCHL rookie, has posted three goals and 10 assists to go along with 23 penalty minutes in 38 games this season. He is a second-generation BCHLer as his dad Bob played for the Vancouver/Burnaby Bluehawks, putting up 111 assists in the 1984-85 season.

Clarkson University competes in the NCAA’s ECAC Hockey conference along with Quinnipiac, Harvard, St. Lawrence, Yale, Brown, Cornell, RPI, Dartmouth, Union, Colgate and Princeton. Former BCHLers on the Golden Knights roster this season are Ben Dalpe, James De Haas and Nic Pierog.

Other current BCHLers committed to Clarkson are Schneider, Sheldon Rempal, Devin Brosseau, Mitch Meek and Brendan Barry.
