Kyle Bodie nets BCHL Player of the Week honours

Powell River Kings forward Kyle Bodie has been named the British Columbia Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week of November 3rd to 9th, the league announced Monday.

Bodie scored three goals and added three assists in a trio of games last week, including a first star performance on Friday in a 3-2 win over the Surrey Eagles. That night, the East St. Paul, Manitoba native scored twice and assisted on Clay Harvey's winner with 1:02 remaining in regulation.

On Saturday, Bodie was in on both Kings' goals in a 5-2 road loss to the Langley Chiefs. He closed out the week with an assist against Cowichan Valley.

Bodie now sits in a tie for third amongst the league's scoring leaders with 15 goals and 25 assists in 28 games.

The Kings are next in action on Friday when they host the Victoria Grizzlies at the Powell River Recreation Complex.
