West Kelowna Warriors forward Brett Mennear has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending May 1, the league announced Tuesday.
Mennear scored in both games the Warriors played to open the Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup on the weekend. The West Kelowna native tallied twice Saturday night in a 3-0 win over the host Estevan Bruins and followed up with another goal in a 4-2 loss Sunday to the Brooks Bandits.
Mennear is tied for the tournament lead in goals and points.
