Penticton Vees forward Bradly Nadeau, Wenatchee Wild forward Micah Berger and Trail Smoke Eaters forward Mathieu Cobetto-Roy have been named the NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week.

1st Star – Bradly Nadeau (F) – Penticton Vees

Nadeau posted the most points of any BCHL player last week with eight in two games and also tied for the league lead in goals with four.

On Friday night in Penticton’s 9-2 home win over the Langley Rivermen, Nadeau led the charge offensively with five points in the game on two goals and three assists. He entered the third period with just one helper, but exploded for two goals and two assists in the final frame to help the Vees blow the game open. He was named first star of the game.

The following night, the 17-year-old University of Maine commit put together another multi-point effort, this time with two goals and an assist in the Vees 6-3 victory over the Merritt Centennials. Nadeau scored a power-play goal in the final minute of the opening period to give his team a 2-1 lead, then he lit the lamp again early in the third period for his league-leading 42nd of the year, a goal which stood up as the game-winner. He was named first star for the second night in a row.

The younger of the two Nadeau brothers has now eclipsed the 100-point plateau, the third BCHL player since 2018-19 to accomplish the feat, and leads the league with 102 points on the year. He has points in 10 consecutive games and multiple points in nine straight.

2nd Star – Micah Berger (F) – Wenatchee Wild

Berger averaged three points per game last week, finishing with two goals and four assists in two contests.

The 18-year-old rookie did the majority of his damage on Friday night against the Merritt Centennials. He scored two goals and added a trio of assists to finish with a five-point night, the biggest output of his BCHL career, as the Wild went on to top the Cents by a 13-0 final.

Berger registered an assist the following night in a 3-2 road loss to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Since joining the Wild on Nov. 4, the Miami University commit has 22 goals and 22 assists for 44 points in 38 games, good enough for third in team scoring. Berger is riding a four-game point streak with four goals and six assists over that stretch.

3rd Star – Mathieu Cobetto-Roy (F) – Trail Smoke Eaters

Cobetto-Roy piled up three goals and two assists in a pair of Smoke Eaters victories over the weekend.

With Trail down by a goal in the first period of their Friday night game against the Coquitlam Express, the Rochester Institute of Technology commit scored a power-play goal to even the game at one. He went on to assist on the Smokies insurance marker, as well as an empty-net goal to finish with three points in a 5-2 final.

On Saturday against the Surrey Eagles, Cobetto-Roy scored a goal midway through the opening period to put his team up 2-0, then scored the eventual game-winner early in the second in a 6-3 victory. He was named first star of the game.

The 19-year-old from Montreal, Que. is Trail’s second-leading scorer this year with 41 points in 44 games. His 41 assists also rank second on the team.
