The British Columbia Hockey League is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Broeders to the position of Head of Officiating. A long time referee and supervisor with BCAHA, Broeders will fill the newly created position within the BCHL in conjunction with BC Hockey (BCAHA).
“This is a very big step in our evolution as a league,” stated Commissioner John Grisdale, “as we continue to raise the professionalism and quality of all aspects of our game. Frank brings both experience and passion to this job and will play a key role in the long term plan for the development of BCHL Officials.”
The creation of this new position is a joint commitment of both the BC Hockey League and BC Hockey, the organization that governs all levels of hockey in British Columbia and is responsible for supplying officials to work BCHL games.
