Lapointe had a pair of goals and an assists on Wednesday night in Coquitlam’s 7-2 win over the Penticton Vees and was named the game’s second star. On Friday, he scored once again and added an assist in his team’s 6-1 win over the Surrey Eagles. In a rematch with Surrey on Sunday, the 18-year-old had another multi-point effort, scoring once and chipping in another assist in a 3-2 overtime win. He was named first star of the game.
After last weekend’s games, Lapointe now leads the Express in scoring with 27 and is tied for the second-most goals in the entire BCHL with 17.
