Prince George Spruce Kings forward Ty Gagno has been named the January High School Player of the Month, presented by Eligibility Wizard.
This award is for players 18-years-old or younger who are attending high school full time and is based on in-class and on-ice performance.
Gagno registered two goals and three assists in 10 January games, including a two-point performance against the Cranbrook Bucks on Jan. 8, when he scored the eventual game-winning goal and was named first star in a Spruce Kings 5-0 victory.
The 18-year-old has seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in 39 games this season.
Gagno attends Prince George Secondary School and recently received 100 per cent in 20th Century World History, 95 per cent in English 12 and has received an A in nearly all of his other classes this year.
