Salmon Arm Silverbacks goaltender Angus Redmond has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 10, the league announced Monday.
Redmond led the ‘Backs to a pair of big road wins and was named 1st Star both nights. The Langley, B.C. product stopped 51 shots for his third shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over the Wenatchee Wild and followed that be becoming the first goalie to record a win in Penticton this season after making 39 saves in a 4-2 win over the Vees.
The Michigan Tech commit wound up making 90 saves on 92 shots for a .978 save percentage to go along with a 1.00 goals-against average.
