Santerno scores seven on way to BCHLPOW

Santerno-mugTrail Smoke Eaters forward Luke Santerno has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 13, the league announced Monday.

Santerno picked up seven goals and an assist as his team earned four of a possible six points. The Smithers, B.C. product broke out with four goals, including the game-winner, plus a helper in a 10-3 win over Salmon Arm where he was 1st Star. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound forward was named 1st Star again the next game after another game-winner in a two-goal outing – a 5-3 triumph over West Kelowna. Santerno had the Smokies lone goal in a 6-1 loss in Wenatchee to conclude the week.

With 17 goals and 18 assists in 23 games on the season, Santerno is up to third in BCHL scoring.
