Testing Live Video in First Round

The BCHL announced today that it will provide free video webcasting the opening round of the BCHL Play-offs in conjuction with the league's broadcasting partner INSINC.  The league and INSINC have been working to implement live video throughout the season and will use the first round of the play-offs as a live test of their systems.

The BCHL will provide the remaining play-off games, beginning in the second round on a pay-per-view basis in venues whereby a high quality of service can be expected.  Fans wanting to try the free video in the first round should ensure they have a high speed internet connection and meet the system requirement laid out by INSINC.

Some specific changes have been made to the Audio broadcasting portion of the broadcasts in the BCHL Fanzone to elevate the quality of their internet radio broadcasts for the post-season.  Fans will notice some changes in the Fanzone and will select the broadcast of their choice which will now be delivered by seperate streams which should eliminate some previous quality issues experienced when two broadcasts have been coming from the same venue.

The after working through the video in the play-offs, the BCHL will be providing video of all BCHL regular season games beginning for the 2008-09 season.
