Leivermann earns BCHLPOW honours

Penticton Vees defenceman Nick Leivermann has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 19, the league announced Monday.

Leivermann had four goals and an assist from the blueline as he led the Vees to three blowout wins and scored a hat trick as well. The native of Eden Prairie, Minn. had the game-winning goal to start off his week in a 7-1 home win over Surrey. He topped that with a hat trick and a 2nd Star nod in an 11-3 rout of West Kelowna. Leivermann had an assist in the game to conclude the week, a 10-1 win over Cowichan.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound blueliner now has six goals and 14 assists on the season which leads the teams defenceman. He is second in team scoring overall. Leivermann is a draft pick of the Colorado Avalanche and is committed to Notre Dame for next season.
