Angers-Goulet Headed to RPI

The Langley Chiefs are pleased to announce that Alex Angers-Goulet has committed to attend the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) for the 2008-2009 season and play for the Engineers.  In his first season for the Chiefs, Angers-Goulet has already made a significant impact having registered seven points in his first six games playing on the top line alongside Taylor Stefishen and Coleton Thielmann.

“I am very excited for the opportunity.  To play for coach Appert will be a great experience and I hope to have the chance to contribute right away” Angers-Goulet will be joining his brother, Matt (currently in his 3rd season with RPI), on a very good Engineers team, “the opportunity to play with my brother was obviously something I wanted and they have a very good program overall as well.”

Associate Coach Barry Wolff knew it wouldn’t be long before Alex received his scholarship, “Alex is a very skilled player who also demonstrates a willingness to go into the corners and muck it up a little – the kind of player every coach wants, so we knew his chance would come.  With his brother there already I am sure the decision was that much easier for him and RPI should be excited about what they’ve added to the team with Angers-Goulet.”
