The BC Hockey League and The Coaches Site, the leading educational resource for hockey coaches, have announced an extension of their partnership.
The Coaches Site is an online learning platform that makes it possible for any coach to learn directly from hockey’s best coaches. Whether its drills, practice plans, fundamental skills, team tactics or leadership advice, The Coaches Site delivers a world class online learning experience available anytime, anywhere on any device.
BCHL coaches will receive memberships to The Coaches Site, in addition to being featured in multiple coaching video sessions.
“Our previous partnership with The Coaches Site provided our team hockey operations staff with educational tools to implement in their day-to-day and aided in the development of our over 400 athletes,” said BCHL Deputy Commissioner and COO Steven Cocker. “We look forward to working with The Coaches Site again this season and providing our coaches with greater exposure opportunities and resources.”
In addition to its online resources, The Coaches Site hosts a live coaching conference each year.
“For me personally, this is a really special partnership,” said Aaron Wilbur, Founder of The Coaches Site. “As a young coach, I cut my teeth in the BCHL and it paved the way for a career in hockey. My experience in the BCHL was invaluable from a professional development standpoint.”
“While the BCHL is regarded as one of the top development leagues in the world, it’s also a stepping stone for aspiring young coaches. We look forward to working with those coaches to develop their own skills and through that process, offer an enhanced development opportunity for their players.”
