BCHL grad Bradford earns Hockey East POW honours

Boston College captain Brock Bradford (Coquitlam Express/BCHL) has earned Hockey East Association Player of the Week honors, the league has announced.

Bradford registered eight points – five goals and three assists – in two games over the weekend. The senior forward netted one power-play goal and four even-strength goals in BC’s 1-0-1 week.

He scored his first collegiate hat trick and added one assist in a 5-5 tie at Merrimack (11/14) and totaled two goals and two assists in an 8-6 home win over New Hampshire (11/15). Bradford’s second goal of the game, a third-period goal, represented the decisive score against the Wildcats.

With back-to-back four-point performances, Bradford has recorded 19 points and 12 goals through 10 games. He leads the nation in goals and is tied with Air Force forwards Brent Olson and Jacques Lamoureux for the lead in points.

The Burnaby, BC, resident owns a six-game scoring streak during which he has totaled nine goals and 13 points.

Next, Boston College will face conference-opponent Massachusetts in a home-and-home series this weekend. The Eagles host the Minutemen on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. and travel to Amherst, Mass., the following night. Saturday’s faceoff is also set for 7 p.m.
