BCHL unveils jerseys and captains for Canada vs. World game

After this morning’s announcement of a new format for All-Star Weekend, which includes a Canada vs. World competition, the league has unveiled the jerseys and the captains for this marquee event, which takes place Jan. 17 at Thompson Family Arena in Spruce Grove, Alta.

Canada’s jerseys feature the traditional Canadian red with white and black stripes, as well as the iconic Canadian Maple Leaf with BCHL text overtop.

Team World’s jerseys have dark blue as the main colour with light blue and white details, as well as a globe logo with BCHL text overtop.

After a vote between the league’s 20 head coaches, the league has also announced the captain group for each team.

Canada:

Luke Dahlen – Blackfalds Bulldogs (C)
Joey Melo – Blackfalds Bulldogs (A)
Samuel Rousseau – Victoria Grizzlies (A)
Joseph Sinclair – Sherwood Park Crusaders (A)

World:

Tai Ushio – Prince George Spruce Kings (C) (Japan)
Stevie Grumley – Sherwood Park Crusaders (A) (United States)
Aaron Reierson  – Langley Rivermen (A) (United States)
Jacob Terpstra – Alberni Valley Bulldogs (A) (United States)

The remaining Canada vs. World rosters will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Tickets and schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
