Fresh off his junior season that saw him win a national title with the University of North Dakota, former Penticton Vees standout defenceman Troy Stecher has signed with the Vancouver Canucks.

Stecher was the 2013 BCHL Interior Conference Top Defenceman trophy winner and captained the Vees to the BCHL Finals. The previous season, he was part of the record-setting Vees club that won 42-straight games and claimed the RBC Cup national championship.
