Capitals and Bulldogs kick off post-holiday action in Cowichan Valley

After a short break, the two teams that finished the pre-holiday action will kick off the post-holiday schedule tonight in Cowichan Valley as the Alberni Valley Bulldogs travel to Cowichan Valley to take on the Capitals.

The Bulldogs have been climbing in the BCHL overall standings as well as the CJHL rankings and are currently ranked 15th among all teams in the CJHL.  They lead the BCHL's Coastal Conference with 57 points – 8 points up on second place Surrey.  Most impressively, they boast a conference best 13-5-1-0 road record and have gone 8-2-0-0 in their last 10 games.

On the other side, the Capitals find themselves in a battle for the final play-off spot in the Conference with 29 points – just 3 up on the Burnaby Express.  The Capitals have been an improving squad of late as they offer a 5-5-0-0 record in their last 10 games.

The Bulldogs were 3-2 winners in Cowichan Valley on Sunday, December 20th with Tyler Berkholtz scoring the winner at 5:35 of the final period.
