Claeys takes BCHLPOW after busy week on the road

Alberni Valley Bulldogs goalie Brody Claeys has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 4, the league announced Monday.

Claeys saw action in all four ‘Dogs games for the week – all on the road – and earned three wins, stopping 113 of 119 shots along the way. He stopped 27 of 28 in an OT win in Nanaimo and followed that up with 33 saves and 1st Star in a 4-1 win in Trail. He made 24 saves in half a game’s work in West Kelowna and closed his week with 29 saves and 2nd Star in a 5-1 victory in Surrey.
