Clippers’ McIntyre commits to Div. III St. Michael’s for 2010/11 season

The British Columbia Hockey League's Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that defenceman Nic McIntyre has committed to attend St. Michael's College and suit up for the NCAA Division III Purple Knights for the 2010/11 season.

McIntyre played in 57 games as a BCHL rookie during the 2009/10 campaign, scoring six goals and totalling 21 points and 30 penalty minutes. The Dollard Des Ormeaux, PQ product helped the Clippers reach the second round of the Coastal Conference playoffs with seven points in 12 postseason games.

The 20-year old will join a Purple Knights program whose roster includes former Powell River Kings and Quesnel Millionaires blueliner Morgan Bell. St. Michael's, which is located in South Burlington, Vermont, finished with a 7-17-3 record in the ECAC East conference last season.
