The British Columbia Hockey League's Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that graduating forward Joe Perry has committed to attend St. Norbert College and suit up for the NCAA Division III Green Knights for the 2010/11 season.
Perry recently completed his third BCHL season, all of which were spent in Nanaimo. The local minor hockey product was limited to 37 games last season due to injury but was able to contribute eight goals and 28 points when healthy. He totalled 27 goals and 70 points over 134 games in the league.
“This is great news for Joey and I know he will be a contributing member of the Green Knights under the tutelage of Coach Coghlin on and off the ice,” says Clippers head coach and GM Bill Bestwick.
Perry will join former Clippers Taylor Langford and Justin Favreau with the Green Knights, who finished atop the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association standings with a 14-2-2 conference record last season.
