Brett Supinski's goal with one second to go in double overtime secured the two points for the Coquitlam Express in a 3-2 win over the visiting Victoria Grizzlies.
Brendan Lamont scored in the first and converted a penalty shot in the second to put the Express ahead by two. But Brett Gruber got the Grizz on the board late in the second and then tied the game in the third.
It remained that way until Supinski's winner at 4:59 of double OT. Braden Krogfoss stopped 48 shots for the win.
Latrell Charleson scored twice for the Surrey Eagles to take 1st Star and help them to a 3-1 win over the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings. Charleson scored in the first and it was Ben Vikich's goal in the second that was the winner. After Dan Nachbaur got PG on the board midway through the middle frame, Charleson added his second of the night.
Colin Grannary and Michael Ederer had four points apiece as the Merritt Centennials took a 6-3 decision over the visiting Vernon Vipers. After Nick Fidanza made it 3-0 Cents in the second, Vernon staged a rally with Thomas Aldworth, Liam Coughlin and Riley Guenther scoring to tie it. Ederer, Grannary and John Schiavo scored in the third to rescue the win for Merritt. Jonah Imoo made 27 saves for the win.
Jesse Neher had a hat trick as the Cowichan Valley Capitals defeated the host Nanaimo Clippers 5-4. It was 3-2 Clips heading to the third, Neher tied the game and after Nick Guerra put Nanaimo back in front, Neher and Ryan Burton responded with goals 1:05 apart to pull off the late comeback. Matthew Zentner made 37 saves for the win.
Angus Redmond made 33 saves and Taro Hirose supplied the winning goal early in the third as the Salmon Arm Silverbacks downed the visiting Trail Smoke Eaters 4-3. Andrew Farny and Ross Heidt scored in the second to put the backs up 3-2 going to the third where Hirose got the insurance. It was needed as Harlan Orr had a late tally for Trail.
Lewis Zerter-Gossage, Cody DePourcq and Patrick Sexton scored in the first period and it proved to be enough offence for the Penticton Vees in a 4-2 home win over the West Kelowna Warriors. Josh Bly's second of the game, early in the second, got West K. within one but Dakota Conroy's goal early in the third sealed it for the Vees. Hunter Miska made 27 saves for the win.
Evan Anderson scored two of Langley's five second-period goals as the Rivermen defeated the visiting Powell River Kings 8-5. JJ Coleshaw had the lone goal of the first for the Kings but in a wild second, Anderson scored twice early on followed by Colton Kehler, Erik Udahl and Hunter Anderson. Kevan Kilistoff, Gage Torrel and Matthew Graham had third-period goals for Langley. Mitch Hawes and Jacob Pritchard scored twice each for Powell River.
