Former Warriors captain Grieve grabs Atlantic Hockey honours

Westside Warriors grad and Bentley University freshman forward Alex Grieve has been named the Atlantic Hockey conference's Player of the Week.

Grieve, a Calgary native, scored two goals and six points in the second game of a two-game sweep of the University of Connecticut Huskies.

His six points ties Bentley's Division I record for most points in a game and is the most by a Falcons player since Dustin Cloutier had five against Canisius during the 2008-09 season. The Player of the Week nod comes three weeks after Grieve earned the conference's Rookie of the Week recognition on Jan. 30.

The 6-foot-1, 196-pound playmaker now has 12 goals and 15 assists in 31 games on the season. Last year with Westside, he registered 31 goals and 47 assists while playing all 60 games.
