For the first time in the modern era of the BCHL, all four second round series of the Rogers BCHL Playoffs are headed to a deciding Game 7, starting tonight.
“This has been a historic postseason for the BCHL so far,” said league Commissioner Steven Cocker. “With all four second round series going to Game 7 for the first time in league history, it highlights the parity in the BCHL right now, the intense level of competition around the league and the high calibre of athletes that we are developing.”
“The next few days should be highly entertaining for hockey fans everywhere, with even more exciting playoff hockey to come over the next month.”

Nanaimo Clippers @ Cowichan Valley Capitals – 7 p.m. PDT
Tuesday, April, 28:
Sherwood Park Crusaders @ Brooks Bandits – 7 p.m. MDT
Chilliwack Chiefs @ Prince George Spruce Kings – 7 p.m. PDT
Cranbrook Bucks @ Salmon Arm Silverbacks – 7 p.m. PDT
Series Snapshots
Brooks vs. Sherwood Park:
- These teams played three straight overtime games in this series with the Crusaders winning two and the Bandits winning one
- Sherwood Park has won two of the three games in Brooks
- Bandits forward Dmitrijs Dilevka is the leading scorer of the playoffs with 20 points in 10 games
Cranbrook vs. Salmon Arm:
- The home team has won every game in the series so far
- Bucks forward Konstantin Hutzinger leads the series with five goals
- Cranbrook goalie Jason Tremblay and Salmon Arm netminder Daniel Dirracolo are both in the top three in postseason goals-against average
Nanaimo vs. Cowichan Valley:
- The Clippers took the first three games of the series before the Capitals stormed back with three straight wins of their own to force Game 7
- Cowichan went to Game 7 in their first round series as well where they beat the Victoria Grizzlies 4-3 in overtime
- Nanaimo has already won two of three road games in this series
Chilliwack vs. Prince George:
- This is another series where the home team has won every game so far
- Boris Borin leads the way offensively for the Chiefs with 12 points in 11 playoff games
- Prince George has already won a Game 7 at home in these playoffs, beating the Langley Rivermen 4-1 in Round 1
