Giunta commits to Bentley

David Giunta of the Coquitlam Express is following a path well traveled to college hockey from the BCHL as he’s committed to play for the Falcons at Bentley University starting next season.

The Falcons have recruited heavily from the BCHL in recent seasons with six players – captain Max French, Jake Kauppila, Cody DePourcq, Aidan Pelino, Jayson Argue and Jonathan Desbiens – on the current roster. Other current BCHLers committed to Bentley are West Kelowna’s Nick Rutigliano, Prince George’s Brett Mennear and Trail’s Luke Santerno.

Giunta posted four goals and 17 assists in what will be his lone season in the BCHL. The native of Lynnfield, Massachusetts will be returning to his home state to play for Bentley which is located in Waltham, about half-an-hour’s drive from Boston.

The Falcons play in the NCAA’s Div. I Atlantic Hockey Association where conference rivals are AIC, Army West Point, Air Force, Robert Morris, RIT, Mercyhurst, Sacred Heart, Holy Cross, Niagara and Canisius.
