Green Knights claim second consecutive title, five BCHLers are champs

For the second straight season, the St. Norbert College Green Knights won the NCAA Division III men's hockey championship and this year, five BCHL alums were in on the action.

The Green Knights downed Oswego State 4-1 in the title game March 17. Nanaimo Clippers alums Justin Favreau and Joe Perry, Trail Smoke Eaters product Cullen Bradshaw, Victoria Grizzlies/Quesnel Millionaires alum Sam Higgins and Powell River Kings grad Reid Campbell were all in the lineup for the final.

Campbell assisted on the winning goal, a tally late in the first by Brandon Hoogenboom.

Veterans Perry, Favreau and Campbell earned their second rings with the win while freshmen Bradshaw and Higgins got their first.

This season, Campbell was named to the first all-star team in St. Norbert's conference while Bradshaw was selected to the all-rookie team.
