Johnson named FortisBC Player of the Month

Trail Smoke Eaters F Kent Johnson has been named the FortisBC BCHL Player of the Month for the month of October.

In 11 games in October, Johnson scored 11 times and added another 15 assists for 26 points, leading Trail to a 9-0-2 record in the month and leading the league in scoring for the month. The Port Moody, B.C. native had points in 10 of 11 games, his best performance coming in an Oct. 26 win over the West Kelowna Warriors where he had two goals and three assists in an 8-2 win.

Johnson was named BCHL Player of the Week for the second time this year in October and currently leads the league in scoring with 43 points in 23 games.
