The West Kelowna Warriors' Seb Lloyd has committed to attend Harvard University and play for the Crimson starting with the 2014/15 season.
Now in second season with the Warriors, the 18 year-old is enjoying a breakout season with 33 points (15+18) in 25 games so far.
“I’m really excited I get to go to a place like Harvard” Lloyd said of the opportunity. “It’ll be unreal to combine great schooling with a top-flight hockey program. It’s what I’ve been looking for all along."
Lloyd knows what Harvard can offer extends beyond the ice.
"“I’m really excited I get to go to a place like Harvard” Lloyd says of the opportunity. “It’ll be unreal to combine great schooling with a top-flight hockey program. It’s what I’ve been looking for all along.”
Lloyd's news came of the same day the Warriors announced David Pope's commitment to the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
“We’re obviously thrilled for both of these guys and their families,” said Warriors head coach Rylan Ferster of the commitments. “They are skilled young players and great people who have worked hard for this chance.
"Of course, we’re also expecting big things from them over the next year and a half.”
