Merritt’s Johnny Hicks named a Top Prospects Game replacement

Merritt Centennials goaltender Johnny Hicks has been named to the Team East roster for the Top Prospects Game tomorrow night in Penticton.

The 17-year-old will replace Salmon Arm Silverbacks goaltender Carter Richardson who is unable to play due to illness.

Hicks owns a .919 save percentage on the season, the sixth best mark in the BCHL, and has an 8-8-3 record this year with a 3.40 goals-against average.

Hicks will also play in goal during the Alumni & Friends Game on Saturday on the outdoor rink.
