Prince George Spruce Kings forward Ethan Montroy, Nanaimo Clippers forward Alex Hebblethwaite, and Sherwood Park Crusaders forward Jeremy Loranger have been named the NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week, ending October 6.
1st Star – Ethan Montroy (F) – Prince George Spruce Kings
After chalking up five goals and three assists through five games with the Cornwall Colts of the CCHL, Montroy made a seamless transition to the BCHL with the Spruce Kings as he tallied four goals and two helpers in his first two outings.
The Cornwall, ON, product made his BCHL debut October 4th against the Surrey Eagles and came away with a goal and an assist in a losing effort.
The following night, Montroy once again laced up against the Eagles and this time he put up three goals and one assist as the Spruce Kings toppled the Eagles 6-3.
After one weekend of BCHL action, Montroy has four goals and two assists.
2nd Star – Alex Hebblethwaite (F) – Nanaimo Clippers
Hebblethwaite started the 2024-25 campaign with the Trail Smoke Eaters, where he put up four points through five games. He made his debut with the Clippers on October 2nd against the Surrey Eagles and he found twine four times in a 9-5 victory over the defending champs.
In his second outing, the Burlington, ON, product found a helper in a losing effort against the Coastal West Division-leading Victoria Grizzlies.
The Rochester Institute of Technology commit has found a tremendous amount of success with his new club, recording four goals and an assist through two games.
3rd Star – Jeremy Loranger (F) – Sherwood Park Crusaders
Jeremy Loranger has been on fire to start the 2024-25 season. He’s currently leading the BCHL with six goals and seven assists through six games.
He stayed hot through the week as he put up three goals and two helpers in two games.
The Trois-Rivieres, QC, product took on the Spruce Grove Saints on back-to-back nights (October 4 & 5). On the 4th, Loranger led his team to a massive 9-4 victory with three goals and an assist.
The next night, the Omaha Nebraska University commit put up an assist in a losing effort.
In his two games this week, Loranger tallied three goals and two assists.
