Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Luke Mylymok has been named the Subway BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 2.
The Minnesota-Duluth commit had five points in two Silverbacks wins last week and was named first star in both contests.
On Friday, Mylymok had a goal and two assists in his team’s 6-2 home win over the Merritt Centennials in the first half of a home-and-home set. The next night in Merritt, the 18-year-old notched a pair of goals in Salmon Arm’s 5-3 win.
Since joining the team in mid-November, Mylymok has 10 goals and five assists in 20 games played.
The native of Wilcox, Sask. also played for Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in December and captained Team West at the CJHL Prospects game in January.
