Surrey Eagles forward Cristophe Tellier has been named the FortisBC Player of the Month for the month of January.
The 2000-born native of Sherbrooke, Que. tied for the league lead in points in January with 20 in 12 games. Tellier had at least a point in 10 of his 12 games in the month, including seven multi-point efforts. He finished off January on a seven-game point streak.
His biggest performance came on Jan. 17 in West Kelowna where he notched a goal and four assists in the Eagles 7-2 win over the Warriors.
Tellier was also named BCHL Player of the Week on Jan. 20.
After his productive month, he is up to second in league scoring with 60 points in 50 games and has the third-most goals with 26.
