Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week
Ethan David – Freshman – Rochester Institute of Technology (Vernon Vipers)
David led the Tigers to a five-point weekend vs. AIC, thanks to a pair of strong efforts between the pipes. In Friday’s contest, he made 22 saves to earn his second career win and first career shutout. Then on Saturday, David made 24 saves, including two in overtime, and turned aside four out of five shootout attempts to give the Tigers the extra point. In total, the Vancouver, B.C. native made 46 saves on 49 shots over the weekend, good for a .939 save percentage and a 1.44 goals-against average.
The 21-year-old spent three seasons with the Vernon Vipers from 2021 to 2024, finishing his BCHL career with a 44-9-7 record, a .911 save percentage, a 2.82 goals-against average and 10 shutouts.
Atlantic Hockey Forward of the Week
Jack Stockfish – Sophomore – College of Holy Cross (Prince George Spruce Kings)
Stockfish put together a four-point weekend on three goals and an assist to lead the Crusaders to a sweep over Mercyhurst. Stockfish wasted no time getting his week started, as he found the back of the net just 16 seconds into Thursday’s contest. He would score again in the third period to give Holy Cross a 3-0 lead en route to a 4-1 win. Then on Friday, Stockfish scored the game-winning goal in the third period and also assisted on an empty-netter to seal the victory. On the season, the North Bay, Ont. native is up to 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 29 games.
Stockfish played the 2022-23 campaign with the Prince George Spruce Kings and put up 14 goals, 18 assists and 32 points in in 47 regular-season games.
CCHA Rookie of the Week
Rylan Brown (D) – Freshman – Michigan Tech University (Okotoks Oilers)
Brown had three assists last week, helping Michigan Tech to a pair of road points against Augustana. He earned one helper on the Huskies lone goal on Friday night, before dishing out two assists in a 4-4 tie on Saturday, before Tech won a shootout for the bonus point in the standings. For the week, he totaled two shots and four blocks.
The 2005-born defender played 17 BCHL games last year with the Okotoks Oilers, picking up four goals and nine assists for 13 points. He also contributed three points in nine playoff games.
