Since the draft went to seven rounds in 2007, this total is two less than the league-record-tying seven players that were selected in 2013. The most ever BCHL players taken in one draft was in 2004 when 12 players were selected.
The highest-drafted BCHL player ever was Kyle Turris, who went third overall to the then-Phoenix Coyotes.
The last BCHL player to be selected in the first round was Beau Bennett, drafted from Penticton by Pittsburgh 20th overall in 2010.
