Okotoks Oilers forward Jack Silverberg has been named the Alberta Division Player of the Week.

The 19-year-old Dartmouth College commit had three goals in two games last week.

On Friday, Silverberg notched a pair of goals in the Oilers 4-3 overtime win over the Blackfalds Bulldogs. The Sherwood Park, Alta. native scored the icebreaker to give his team a 1-0 lead in the first, then notched his second of the game in the middle frame to tie the game 2-2. He was named the game’s first star.

On Sunday afternoon, Silverberg scored once in a 7-4 loss to the Brooks Bandits.

He now has 12 points in 10 BCHL games to sit in a tie for fifth in scoring, while his eight assists are tied for fifth among his Alberta peers.
