On Thursday afternoon Hopkins stopped all 35 shots he faced as West Kelowna handed the Prince George Spruce Kings their first loss of the season in a 4-0 shutout performance and the Malden, Mass. native was named the game’s first star. The following day, Hopkins made another 20 saves in his team’s 4-2 win over the Nanaimo Clippers, improving their record to 3-3-0.
