Quesnel’s Hertz commits to NCAA Div. III Utica for 2010/11 season

The British Columbia Hockey League's Quesnel Millionaires are pleased to announce that graduating forward Trever Hertz has committed to attend Utica College and suit up for the NCAA Division III Pioneers for the 2010/11 season.

Hertz spent three seasons in the BCHL and played all but 18 of his 184 games in the league with Quesnel, recording 102 goals and 99 assists overall. He also spent a brief stint with the Victoria Grizzlies, who he helped to the semi-finals of the 2009 RBC Cup.

The Jaffray, B.C. product enjoyed his best season in 2009/10, netting 73 points while taking on the captaincy for the Mills. He was also named the Interior Conference's Most Sportsmanlike Player after compiling just 17 penalty minutes in 60 games.

“The Millionaires organization would like to congratulate Trever on taking the next step in his hockey career,” says Quesnel general manager Glen Watson. “Trever's great leadership and hockey skills will surely be a asset with his new team.”

Utica College plays in the five-team ECAC West conference, where their competition includes 2009 Division III National Champions Neumann College.
