Radio DJ Bob Saye joins Chiefs as announcer at home games

The Langley Chiefs are excited to announce that legendary Vancouver radio host Bob Saye will be the official voice of the new Langley Events Centre.

Bob, originally from Toronto but currently living in Langley, will provide a familiar voice to Langley’s new hockey mecca. Bob is the afternoon drive announcer on 93.7 JR FM, Vancouver’s premiere country music station.

“Bob has a tremendous history in media throughout the Lower Mainland,” said Events Centre General Manager Glen Ringdal in making the announcement, “and will provide us with a familiar, welcoming voice to all of our guests.”

Bob will join existing individual sports announcers in the Chiefs' broadcast booth, bringing his own personal style to announcements, promotions, and information that makes each event more entertaining and exciting.

Bob will also be the voice of the Centre in telephone and ticketing recordings as well as on any electronic media advertising placed by the Centre and its events.

“Bob’s presence and voice add another level of professionalism to the Langley Events Centre which – less than six months after its official opening – is becoming well known throughout the Lower Valley for delivering first class events in superb facilities with quality food and concessions, great sound and a ticketing system that provides full service with no service charges,” Ringdal said.
