Chilliwack Chiefs forward Dustin Renas, Cranbrook Bucks forward Patrick Murphy and Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Thomas Neu have been named the NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week.

1st Star – Dustin Renas (F) – Chilliwack Chiefs

Renas scored three goals and chipped in another two assists for five points in two Chiefs wins over the weekend.

The Saskatoon, Sask. native scored twice in Chilliwack’s Friday night home win over the Victoria Grizzlies. He found the back of the net once on the power play in regulation, then scored the game-winner 2:39 into overtime. A night later, Renas earned his first career three-point outing in the BCHL, scoring once and adding two helpers in a 7-5 road win over the Langley Rivermen to conclude the regular season.

Since joining the Chiefs in February, the 2005-born forward has 10 goals, eight assists and 18 points in 17 contests.

2nd Star – Patrick Murphy (F) – Cranbrook Bucks

Murphy collected five points in two games last weekend on two goals and three assists.

After picking up an assist in Cranbrook’s 5-2 road loss against the Penticton Vees on Friday, the 19-year-old tied his season best with four points on Saturday in an 8-5 victory over the Vernon Vipers. Murphy’s goal in the second period gave the Bucks a 2-1 lead, then he piled up another goal and two assists in the third to help Cranbrook pull away for good.

The Stonehill College commit finished his second BCHL regular season with 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points in 47 games.

3rd Star – Thomas Neu (F) – Blackfalds Bulldogs

Neu tied for the league lead in points last week with five, racking up two goals and three assists in a pair of Blackfalds wins.

In Friday’s 7-3 win over the Sherwood Park Crusaders, Neu set a personal high-water mark for assists and points as he finished with three in the victory. The following night, he scored two goals, including one on a penalty shot, in a 4-3 win against the Spruce Grove Saints. This was his first multi-goal game in the BCHL.

Neu wraps up his 2024-25 campaign with nine goals, 12 assists and 21 points in 33 contests.
