Sherwood Park Crusaders forward Noah Wills has been named the Alberta Division Player of the Week.

The 20-year-old had two goals and three assists over the weekend, helping his team split a pair of home games against the Brooks Bandits to close out the regular season.

On Friday, Wills helped spark a second-period comeback with a goal and a helper that saw the Crusaders take the lead after being down 2-0 in a game they would eventually lose by a 6-3 final.

In the rematch the following night, the Swift Current, Sask. native notched his third straight multi-point performance, this time with a goal and two assists, in Sherwood Park’s 6-3 win tin their regular season finale. Wills opened the scoring in the first period, then collected an assist in each of the second and third periods.

He wraps up the regular season as the Alberta Division’s leading scorer with 30 points in 20 games, as well as the top assist man with 18 on the year. He also heads into the playoffs riding a nine-game point streak, picking up 17 points over that stretch.
