The Salmon Arm SilverBacks continued to roll offensively on Saturday night in Merritt, scoring five or more goals for the third consecutive game in a 7-3 road victory over the Centennials.
Salmon Arm forward Mark Zengerle once again paced his squad on the scoresheet, scoring twice at even strength and adding a pair of power-play assists. David Killip added a pair of goals and three points for the SilverBacks, while Matt Cassidy, Brett Knowles and Josh Manson also tallied.
Brad Bourke, Jeff Zmurchyk and Alex Valenti tallied for the Centennials, who trailed by margins of 2-1 and 5-2 at the intermissions. Zmurchyk posted a two-point night after assisting on Valenti's late third period marker.
Tony Ierfino stood tall in net for Salmon Arm for the second time in as many nights, turning aside 41 pucks on a night where his team was outshot by 11 despite the lopsided score.
The Centnennials are back in action on Sunday when they visit Westside in a 2:30 PM matinee, while Salmon Arm are idle through the week before hosting the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on October 10th.
