Langley Rivermen forward Marcus Vela assisted twice but it was not enough to overcome a hot goaltender as Team Canada West lost their East counterparts in the quarter-final of the World Junior A Challenge.
Team Canada East goalie Blade Mann-Dixon made 38 stops to earn the win and put his team into the semifinals against the United States.
