Teddy bears readying for flight in Langley

The Langley Chiefs are inviting fans to come out and support the Salvation Army this week when the team hosts its third annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday night versus the Surry Eagles.

When the Chiefs score their first goal of the game, chuck those bears on the ice and the Chiefs will see they reach someone in need over the holidays!

The Chiefs will join the Salvation Army the following week when they head to local hospitals to hand out the bears and stuffed animals and try and spread some Christmas cheer.

“Obviously it is a great cause and fun event to host each year,” Chiefs Marketing Director Jared Harman explains. “The atmosphere in the rink before we score is always exciting and to see the look on the people’s faces when the players deliver the stuffed toys is amazing.”

We encourage you to come out a support such a great cause. For more information on how to help out over the holidays, please contact Jared Harman at the Langley Chiefs office, 604.532.1999.
