The Warriors defeat the Capitals 2-1

The West Kelowna Warriors' offense had a big night, peppering the Cowichan Valley Capitals with 27 shots throughout the game. The West Kelowna Warriors took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Stephen Kleysen.

During the first period, Dubois opened the scoring for the Warriors with a goal at 0:44 with a helper from his teammate Dhaliwal.

In the second, Larkin answered for the Capitals with a goal at 8:18 with an assist from Jackson. Kleysen answered for West Kelowna with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:24 with helpers from Murphy and Kowalski.

The Warriors’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Demers’ big night as he stopped 42 of the 43 shots he faced. Demers’ counterpart, Marcoux, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 27, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the West Kelowna Warriors’ record to (4-1-0-0).
