The roster deadline for Junior hockey is Tuesday, January 10.
The absolute deadline for interbranch transactions (i.e. BCHL to AJHL) is 6 p.m. PT and for trades within the BCHL, the absolute deadline is 8 p.m. PT. After these deadlines have passed, no transaction will be approved until June 1, 2017.
BCHL teams will only be allowed to release information on transactions to media once all players involved in the transaction have been notified. Any team found to have released transaction information prior to player notification is subject to a fine.
