The Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League have released forward Bubba Westwood (right), and the Quesnel Millionaires are pleased to announce that Westwood will be in the line-up for the Mills this weekend.
In the 2003-04 season Westwood led the BCHL in penalty minutes with 430. This will be Bubba’s second full season with the Mills and the team is looking for big things from the Prince George native. Head coach and General Manager Jamie Leach says, “Bubba will definitely add some more toughness and grit to our line-up. He was a key player in our dressing room last season and this year will be no different. He is an energy player that will fit perfectly with our club. Bubba played well with the Cougars throughout the WHL pre-season then they made a trade for a player with the same role as Bubba and had to make a tough decision.”
